Inter Milan, was established from a club called "Milan Cricket & Football Club", and was separated from this club years later. The team opened its door not only for the Italian players, but also for foreign players, and that's why the club got the name of "Inter". After the World War II had started, many players of the club went to battlefields and died. Despite all those tragedies and hardships, now the club has become one of the most famous soccer clubs around the world.
Failures on the pitch haven’t dented the Inter Milan balance sheet and the Italian giants’ revenues look safe for some years to come. Inter may be one of Italy’s ‘big three’ clubs along with AC Milan and Juventus, but their on-field performances have disappointed in recent years. The club hasn’t won the Italian league since 1989 and crashed out of the Champions League in each of the past two seasons, denting broadcasting revenues. Yet the club still attracts megabucks sponsorship deals, thanks to its fanatical support - partnerships with Nike and Pirelli tyres generate some £25m and a new TV deal has raised £86m for the next two seasons.
