The club Juventus was first established by a group of young adults who just loved soccer. In 1905, they first won the italyn League Championship and due to the extreme increase in number of game-goers, the club had to move to a bigger stadium. They also brought a major "change" to uniforms. The first Juventus' uniforms were pink but since the English uniform company delivered them ones with a wrong design, the club ended up wearing jerseys with black-and-white-striped design on them.
The Juventus riches come from its massive fanbase. The club claims to have the support of a third of all Italian fans – some 13 million people – and a further 11 million supporters in the rest of Europe. The ‘Old Lady’ also negotiates its own TV broadcast deals, which in 2002/03 generated around £44 million for the club. The ambitious redevelopment of the club’s ground will be completed in 2007, and should bring significant future riches.
